The City Manager for the City of Soledad is committed to presenting an annual “State of the City” address and report that brings together the community to review the previous year and preview the year ahead. This informational presentation provides snapshots of important stories, projects, information, and data. The intent of this annual reporting is to demonstrate a high level of accountability by the City Manager and the city’s departmental staff in moving forward with the goals set by the Soledad City Council. Additionally, environmental, economic, and social trends and markers are presented for the benefit of the City Council and the community to further understanding of the forces at work within and beyond the community. Reviewing programs, successes, challenges, and data assists communities in developing an informed citizenry, which is the cornerstone of a healthy democracy.
