The City of Soledad is now accepting applications for the position of Economic Development/Housing Program Manager. The City of Soledad has a growing population of over 26,200 people and is located in the center of the Salinas Valley, nestled between the beautiful Santa Lucia Mountains to the west and the picturesque Gabilan Mountains to the east. Soledad is surrounded by the Salinas Valley’s booming agricultural community, home to fields of lettuce, broccoli, and asparagus, as well as row upon row on some of the finest wine grapes in the state.
Under general supervision, this position provides highly responsible and complex analytical, research, and project management functions for the economic development, redevelopment, and housing programs within the City; monitors grant loan programs for business and related housing programs; provides overall coordination, development, and administration for assigned programs and projects, and provides highly responsible and complex professional assistance to the Community & Economic Development Director.
Candidates must possess the equivalent to a bachelor’s degree with major coursework in business or public administration, public policy, economics, city or urban planning, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in developing and/or administering housing, economic development, or redevelopment projects and programs, preferably in a public agency.
