The Parks, Facilities and Fleet Maintenance Division maintains is responsible for minor repairs of City-owned buildings and other facilities to ensure they are safe and operational for the public.  This division is also responsible for the maintenance of thirteen parks totaling 25 acres, as well as two lineal miles of roadway landscaping totaling approximately 2.5 acres. Responsibilities include daily grounds cleanup, grounds and facility improvement, repair of playgrounds and amenities, graffiti removal, mowing, pruning, fertilizing, weeding and spraying. 

 

There are approximately 65 acres dedicated for open space and recreational uses within the City of Soledad divided between thirteen public parks, including a portion of land located next to the Salinas River.
