The City of Soledad is making significant progress in meeting its goals of providing excellent street conditions throughout the city. In addition to the Crack Seal maintenance project starting this month of July, Front Street will also have work done to it. As part of this project, the City will address the pavement conditions along Front Street (between Nestles Road and Moranda Road), replacing the problematic concrete sidewalks, curb and gutter, and drainage issues. Traffic Safety and site distance will also be incorporated into this project to ensure a safe corridor for all roadway users. Additionally, this project will include art, landscape refresh, lighting, and sidewalk amenities.
Monterey Peninsula Engineering has been contracted to complete the work, which is anticipated to start on July 22nd and be completed by the end of January 2025. Please plan accordingly and expect some delays.
