The Soledad Community Center is going to the beach! In collaboration with the Wahine Project, Soledad students are spending time getting to know Monterey County beaches and learning to surf.  Our team wanted to offer something unique to Soledad youth and those in the surrounding area this Summer, and the Wahine project made it possible! They have wonderful instructors with years of surfing knowledge that help make these lessons safe and fun. The Wahine staff and our dedicated parks staff have made this week such a memorable experience for the kids, and we look forward to more fun-filled weeks this year.
