NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The City Council of the City of Soledad will conduct a Public Hearing during a meeting on October 5th at 6:30 pm in the City Council Chambers at 248 Main Street, Soledad, California 93960 as part of its consideration of the adoption of:

ORDINANCE NO. 747, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PROVISIONS OF TITLE 15 TO ADOPT CHAPTER 15.40 FOR A STREAMLINING PERMIT PROCESS OF ELECTRICAL VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS THAT WILL INCLUDE A PERMITTING CHECKLIST ASSOCIATED WITH AB 1236 AND AB 970.

The City Council will be considering the adoption of Ordinance No. 747, which will allow expedited process for the establishment of charging stations will promote the use of electric vehicles as an objective of both the State of California and the City of Soledad to reduce the use of fossil fuels in transportation and the corresponding use of greenhouse gases. A copy of the full text of the proposed ordinance was posted on the City’s website on September 20th, 2022 and is also available in the office of the City Clerk.  Ordinance No. 747 was introduced and read by title only at a regular meeting of the City Council on September 21, 2022.
