Public Transportation

Monterey Salinas Transit (MST) is the public transit bus system serving Soledad and Monterey County.  Routes 23 (Salinas-King City) and 86 (King City-San Jose Airport) stop at the Soledad Mission Shopping Center. https://mst.org/  The Salinas Transit Center, located 28 miles to the north of Soledad, is the MST point of transfer to the Monterey Peninsula, Carmel Valley, Big Sur, and beyond.

Amtrack train service on the Coast Starlight, Pacific Surfliner, and Amtrak Thruway bus are available to and from the Salinas Amtrak station (SNS), located 26.1 miles from the Soledad Visitor’s Center. https://www.amtrak.com/home.html

Greyhound bus service stops at the Soledad Mission Shopping Center. https://www.greyhound.com/

Transit Services

As of July 2, 2012, Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) replaced the local taxi service previously provided by the City of Soledad with MST On Call service throughout the city limits of Soledad. MST On Call will also allow individuals to connect to other south county cities through MST’s regional route network via Line 23 Salinas-King City and Line 82 Fort Hunter Liggett-Salinas Express. Passengers can even make daily or weekly standing appointments for regular pick-ups for work, school or other travel needs.

Soledad passengers can simply call 831-678-1550 in advance to schedule a pick-up. Hours of operation will be Monday – Friday 8 am – 4 pm. Please call MST On Call for current fares.
