On February 17, 2017, the City of Soledad’s recently appointed City Manager, Michael McHatten, Mayor Fred Ledesma and Mayor Pro-Tem Chavez formally presented the City’s State of the City Address.

Hosted by the Soledad Mission Chamber of Commerce, the event provided the community with an opportunity to hear directly from their new City Manager.

“Under the leadership of our City Council, our city is well positioned to continue its role as a leader in the region,” stated Michael McHatten, City Manager, City of Soledad. “As our councilmembers begin the process of setting goals for the future, I look forward hearing from community members about their vision for our community.”

The annual tradition allows community members and government officials the opportunity to come together in an environment that allows for the strengthening of community bonds while discussing the future goals of the City of Soledad.

“The State of the City is one of my favorite events because it provides our community the opportunity to come together for the sole purpose of discussing the future of our city,” said Fred Ledesma, Mayor, City of Soledad. “It’s during moments such as these where we have the opportunity to pause and reflect about how far as city has come while also pushing it towards the future.”
